Who we are:

Cris Howell met a dance partner four years ago at a salsa club and it was immediately apparent that the two had a deep love of dance including folkloric, country, Latin and traditional styles. Both shared a sense of community and very soon, were volunteering their time and energy into teaching, performing and encouraging others to dance.

Together, they provided a dance program thru the Fresno County Libraries, Heritage Adult Senior Center, Reedley Community Center, Reedley College, San Joaquin Wine Festival, Youth Leaders Conference in Visalia, and Fowler’s Annual Festival.

While her partner pursues other interests, Cris continues her work in promoting dance. She believes that dance should be made available to everyone, young and old, regardless of socio-economic status. With this belief, she continues to teach and inspire others to dance, provides and/or creates  events for people to dance, or directing people to attend dance classes in the community.

“The best time I have had so far was watching kids under 12 dance at the Reedley Community Center, teaching 89 people at the Visalia Youth Leaders Conference to line dance and teaching ballroom dance to seniors at the Heritage Adult Center.”

To date, Cris Howell has planned various dance events for 2007 including participation at the Mardi Gras, the Rogue Festival, CSUF Dance Festival and CVD Conference 2007
