Who we are:

For the love of dance, Nkauj Hmoob Peb Suav (pronounced 'Go Hmong Pay Shoua') focuses on raising awareness of the extraordinary legacy and ongoing creativity of traditional Hmong dance through the dance of the hands.

Storytelling by fusing two art forms into one, "Noj Peb Caug" is a dance piece about the festivities held at the annual Hmong New Year.  Having become American, but yet still remaining ethnic, Nkauj Hmoob Peb Suav continues to hold the vision that dance is their basic tool to learning in school, in work, and in life.

Mai Dia, Nada, Mai Her, Pang, Liana, Mai Hlee, Susan and Mai Der are all students and athletes of McClain and Duncan Polytechnic High School in Fresno, California.
