The Central Valley Dance Festival is an annual Celebration of Unity in Diversity thru the Language of Dance. The event allows dancers and performers to come together under one roof to share their passions, aspirations and spirit through the Dance. An event created by dancers for dancers by dancers, this is an opportunity to exhibit dance as both an art form and/or as a cultural heritage to potential students, clients, vendors, directors, promoters and producers. THESE ARE DANCE SHOWCASES, NOT A CONTEST! NO COMPETITION INVOLVED.
Our inaugural event in 2006 brought together 12 dance groups and performers at the Knights of Columbus Hall in a sold out event. In 2007, the event grew to 20 groups of dancers and performers celebrating music and dance under one roof in a 3 day event held on October 19, 20 and 21. It took place at the Fresno Veterans Memorial Auditorium with workshops held at 2 local dance studios. 2008 promises to be as spectacular as our previous shows as we have already been contacted by several new groups wanting to be a part of it. As a result, registration and auditions will be held earlier this year so please watch out for notices and/or contact us for your registration package.
